The Tripod Insider
We're back! Y2K turned out AOK as we made it to the year 2000 without
a single blip, scratch, or meltdown! After an anticlimactic run-in with the
infamous computer-glitch-that-wasn't, Tripodians are up and running
smoothly. The New Year's celebration wasn't uneventful, however: We
got to witness a spectacular firework display that originated from the top
of Mt. Greylock at the stroke of twelve. I even watched from my front yard,
which is over ten miles away! I'm sure our display wasn't quite in the
same league as those spectacular shows in Paris and Sydney, but they
sure looked cool!
Now that we're finished waiting for the yearly odometer to roll over, we've
got something else to focus on: Richard is about to become a father! His
lovely and ready-to-be-done-with-pregnancy wife Erin is due to deliver
on the 13th. I wish tons of luck to the new parents, and I've already
promised the babysitting services of Auntie Anna.
