Okay, office gossip comes first this week. (Hey, we've got our priorities.)
Maggie, Tripod's fearless and fantastic director, just celebrated her
birthday this week! A bunch of us gathered at — you guessed it — Mezze
on Thursday night, and partied hearty in Maggie's honor! After bubbly and
lots of Cosmopolitans, the party was pretty rockin'. Maggie even gave out
party favors: ice-cream cones with foam tops that shoot off, hamburger and
hot-dog pencil sharpeners, and ViewMaster key chains! She bought them all
on the Internet!
We have a celebrity in our midst! Let me explain: Steve Clark, our brand
manager, had a brief stint as a child model. His claim to fame? Appearing
on the cover of the classic board game Candyland! But wait, the story gets
even better! He may have had his mug pictured on the box, but he never
received a copy of it. Until designer Mike Langlie came along, that is.
He diligently searched auction sites and finally came across young Master
Clark's edition of the game. Good luck, Steve — may the auction force
be with you!
