Folks in the office were pretty happy to honor America's presidents
this week — I'm talking about the four-day work week and, more
importantly, three-day weekend we just had! There were plenty of fun
activities planned — trips to the Adirondacks for snow-shoe romps,
drives to New Jersey for wedding-planning activities, and more snow
than we've had in years. The only thing we did miss were our
Monday-morning bagels; still, it's more than a fair trade for a
well-deserved vacation day.
Today, we say "sayonara" to Jamie Riehle and Venkat Srinivasan. Both
Tripodians will be moving to Waltham to work in closer conjunction
with the bigwigs at Lycos. We wish them luck, and hope that their night
lives get exponentially better! No offense to our local offerings, but
I suspect there's a bit more going on in the evenings around Boston.
One more little announcement before we get to the real stuff: Richard's
little bundle of joy, Kelly, isn't so little anymore! Kelly celebrated
her six-week birthday this week. The circles under Richard's eyes are
getting smaller, and it looks like Kelly will start sleeping for more
than four hours at a stretch — just in time to keep Richard and his
wife Erin from total exhaustion!
