Tuesday, at 3:45 in the morning, Chris and Erin Young became parents!
After just one hour of labor (not that any length of labor is easy),
Oscar Lorin Young was born. Weighing in at six pounds, nine ounces,
Oscar is a healthy and happy new kid! Everyone at Tripod is extremely
excited for Chris and Erin. We wish them lots of luck, and hope that
they find time to get some sleep in the next couple of weeks!
This Friday, we say goodbye to two terribly valuable people here at
Tripod: Producer Maria Trimarchi and HR Assistant Teri Iacuessa.
Maria is off to school this fall, and Teri's heading to another tech
company here in the Berkshires. Good luck to you both, too!
Don't worry your little heads; I'm only saying sayonara for the next
two weeks! I'm heading to Japan for the longest vacation I've ever
had! I'll be eating tons of sushi (no sea urchin, please) and absorbing
the cultural nuances of an entirely different country. I can't wait!
Now, if only the 12-hour flight wasn't mandatory ...
Lastly, Mark (Iron) Madden turned 30 on Thursday. He says it doesn't
feel much different, but boy, did that gray hair sprout over night!
No, not really. He's celebrating with a big Indian dinner tonight in
Pittsfield, accompanied by resident celebrators Barak, Mike, and Karen.
Friday, he's off to party like a rock star with his buddies in Boston.
