The packing frenzy has begun. Boxes are all over the place, and people
are actually throwing punches over the newer ones. Well, not really,
but there has been some serious competition for the best boxes. The
major move will happen on the 13th, but people who will be working in
Waltham before then are already boxing up their stuff. We're hoping
the Lycos decor won't clash too badly will all of our junk. The new
offices we'll be moving into are pretty snazzy -- we even have a roof
deck on the 7th floor of the building! Now we're just hoping we'll
have time to play on it!
I must say that for a small theatre festival in the boonies (Billsville),
they do draw some pretty amazing talent, resulting in some pretty
wonderful productions. I was lucky enough to see Noel Coward's "Tonight
at 8:30" on Tuesday. I did have a friend that missed it, when she
showed up at 8:30 p.m. ... for a 2 o'clock matinee. Argh, the pain of
not reading your ticket carefully! Blythe Danner, Gwyneth Paltrow's
mother, in her 20th season in the Williamstown Theatre Festival, was
absolutely brilliant. She deftly moved from one character to the next
-- she played three characters in three different one-acts. She was
especially hilarious in "Hand Across the Sea." If you have the chance
to visit Williamstown in the summer, the theatre festival is a must-see!
Thursday night, Tripodians said goodbye to their most favorite local bar
-- Mezze. Maggie, Jenny, and Heather will be in Waltham as of the 5th,
and they wanted to enjoy their last night in town at some place where
everybody knows your name ... and they're always glad you came. Yes,
there will be other places like Mezze in Boston -- probably thousands
-- it's just a matter of finding them now! Goodbye to everyone who's
leaving this week -- we'll miss you in the time-being, and see you soon!
