Wedding season bliss

THE INSIDER
News and gossip from the Diva
Summer is definitely the season of weddings. This past Sunday I
attended a family friend's wedding in Vermont. The bride and I went
to rival high schools, but didn't meet until my dad introduced us
last year. The ceremony was short, and very sweet. It was outside in
her mother's garden, and the reception was under a big tent on the
lawn. This was the first wedding I've ever been to where I actually
enjoyed eating the wedding cake -- it was delish! Usually it's the
nasty, 5-day-old, dry as chalk kind of dessert, but this one was
really superb. And of course, the bride was beautiful! It's so
wonderful to see two people so in love with each other that they want
to make a life together.
Speaking of brides, we have one in our midst! Rebecca tied the knot
last weekend to her honey Dan at a beautiful ceremony in southern
Vermont. I've heard from attendees that she was stunning, and that
she danced the night away in true rock star fashion! Congratulations,
Rebecca!
I hope everyone reading this Insider had a safe and wonderful
Independence Day celebration! While most Tripodians were moving into
their new Boston digs, we managed to fit in some bbqing and beer. Not
to mention fireworks! There was a great display off the top of Mount
Greylock, and I've heard from a few people in Boston that the fireworks
over the Charles were spectacular. Got to love those noisy, earth (and
eardrum) shattering balls of exploding light!

MEMBERSHIP QUESTION OF THE WEEK
Get the inside dirt on some of the questions most frequently fielded
by our dedicated membership department!
Q: What is remote loading, and why does Tripod not allow it?
A: Remote loading occurs when files are stored on one site for access
on another server. A Tripod page storing image files for use on a
non-Tripod page is an example of remote loading.
Simply put, remote loading is expensive. Tripod uses advertising to
pay for the cost of hosting people's Web pages for FREE. Remote loading
substantially drives up our cost by increasing the bandwidth we need
to purchase. We don't want to have to pass that cost on to our members;
we want to keep your pages FREE.
