Two big announcements this week, folks. First, Tripod is facilitating
a nation-wide Web site building contest to encourage teens to share
their viewpoints on Team Harmony, a foundation seeking to educate,
motivate, and inspire young people to combat all forms of bigotry and
to promote respect for diversity. Teens can build a Tripod site to
communicate how they're making a difference in their schools and
communities. Winners will be announced at the Fleet Center in Boston
this December. We're hoping that this contest will really get teens
on the Web writing and building about their experiences and visions
for the future. Good luck to everyone who enters! No one can lose in
this situation - we all want a world more full of respect for human
life and diversity!
And now it's time to say goodbye, my friends. This is my last week
at Tripod. I will no longer be seen skipping down the halls of the
new Waltham building (or sunning myself on the roof deck!). But fear
not - I will make sure the new Insider Diva (or tenor if he passes
muster) carries on the tradition I have started. The new Insider
mastermind will be trained in the ways of Insider-wisdom, and will
not start writing till I have deemed them worthy of the task! So you
don't have to worry about things changing too much - I'll make sure
the next Insider creator has his or her finger on the pulse of office
gossip, as well as a sense of humor that will keep you chuckling
while you read away.
I've had a fabulous time during my stint as Insider Diva, a title I
hold in high esteem. I hope you have all enjoyed reading as much as
I have enjoyed writing. May you all continue to build your dreams on
Tripod - my best to each and every one of you!
