I made a little joke in the last Insider about how everyone here in
Tripod land was in perfect health. Big mistake. It turns out that
comment packs the same karmic wallop as wondering aloud how long it's
been since your last flat tire. Mere moments after I clicked send, the
cold and flu season set up camp on the 7th floor. Folks, it was two
straight weeks of wall to wall wheeze and sneeze. Wow. One innocent
remark and Team Tripod turns into Team Triage. Needless to say, I blame
myself. Needless to say, so does everyone else.
Now that I've single-handedly made Kleenex stock rise 30%, let the
healing begin. Trouble is I can never remember if it's feed a cold or
starve a fever? Luckily, there are plenty of Tripod member sites I can
prescribe. For a dose of preventive medicine, a healthier diet is
always a good start. And if you're feelin' green and can just say
no to chili dogs, being a vegetarian has its benefits. But if it's too
late for preemptive wellness, a little TLC from an online nurse never
hurts. There, feel better?
