Making Tripod the best site it can be is its own reward. Well, sort of.
A little unsolicited recognition is also nice. So we've decided to
briefly suspend our ban on patting ourselves on the back to make an
announcement: We're #1! CNET, the Web's source for information on
technology, has named Tripod as its "Editors' Choice" for site building
and hosting. Tripod came out on top for its "grace, ease of use, and
snappy URLs." The CNET reviewers -- clearly a knowledgeable and
discerning bunch -- also praised our "best of the Web-hosting bunch
tools." They even made us blush by calling our page templates "the
prettiest." Don't worry. All this adulation won't go to our heads.
We know that fame is fleeting. But that doesn't make it a bad thing.

Q: Why is case sensitivity important?
A: All Tripod member names and passwords are case-sensitive. If you try
to log in and don't type the correct cases, you'll receive an error
message. For example, if your member name is "MiSteR.JoneZ" and you
try to log in using "mister.jonez," it won't work. When choosing your
member name, it's always a good idea to keep everything lowercase.
It's consistent and easy to remember.
