Massachusetts weather is a punchline to a cosmic inside joke. Take this
winter, for example. It was weird and warm with barely a trace of snow.
We've been skiing on mud. Literally skating on thin ice. So what happens
on the first day of spring? A snowstorm! Ha-ha. Sigh. But that's OK.
We don't mind Mother Nature's twisted sense of humor. When we think
spring, we think movies. The Academy Awards were on last weekend and
Team Tripod was left holding its annual imaginary ballots. As always,
the official Best Flick picks got a pass. Sure, "Lord of the Rings" was
mostly-amazing, but we still can't find anyone who admits to seeing
"Moulin Rouge." Instead, Mike wished for a surprise "Donnie Darko" upset,
Traci lobbied for "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back," and Not-So-Silent
Todd tried to usher in the Vin Diesel Decade by voting early and often
for "Fast and the Furious." Yikes. We really need to get out more often.

Q: What is my URL?
When you create and save pages in your Tripod directory, they are
automatically published to the Web. Each page has an actual address
(URL) of: http://members.tripod.com/your_member_name/page_name.html.
Notice that your Tripod member name is part of the URL, and that the
file name of the page you want to see always comes last. Pages need
to end with either ".html" or ".htm" in order to be read by browsers.
You can also use a shorter URL. This URL, called a "subdomain," looks
like: http://your_member_name.tripod.com/page_name.html. This address
is easier to type and looks much more professional. Feel free to use
whichever URL you like. Either one will work just fine.
Be aware that there is no "www" in any Tripod member URL. Your address
will never be http://www.your_member_name.tripod.com/. Using a "www"
in the URL will prevent your browser from locating your page.
