The Tripod Insider
The new and improved Tripod site is alive and kicking, and everyone
who worked on it feels pretty dead — dead tired, that is! Some lucky
folks had to come in at 6:00 Wednesday morning to turn on the new
servers. I hope they weren't the people who were here until 2:00
Tuesday night! Anyway, the site looks great — kudos to everyone who
worked their hearts out creating the Tripod of the future! We hope you
take the chance to surf around a bit, and experience the streamlined
site. Then visit Test Lab and
tell us what you think!
With the relaunch over, we can now concentrate on less tiring efforts,
such as holiday shopping, cooking, eating, and partying! We've been
collecting a bunch of cool toys to donate to local children. We've got
quite a few gifts piled up already! They'll surely make a bunch of
Williamstown kids pretty happy next week.
I mentioned holiday partying, didn't I? This Friday is the Lycos
Williamstown Holiday party. This year, instead of invading the Sabots'
home, we're heading down to Jiminy Peak Ski Resort, which is a few miles
south of Billsville. Some Tripodians will be skiing, while the rest will
be throwing snowballs at them. Should be fun! The holiday party also
includes a bake-off, during which all entries will be devoured as soon
as the judges have had a taste. There's going to be some stiff competition
this year — we have some pretty amazing bakers in the office! You can
read all about the party in next week's Insider. I'll be revealing the
winner of the bake-off, so be sure to tune in!
