The Tripod Insider
In last week's Insider, I promised I'd tell all about the recent
company party at the Jiminy Peak ski resort. Of course, the Insider
Diva never reneges, so here goes!
People arrived at 7:00 p.m. to take advantage of the open bar and tasty hors d'oeuvres.
After much chatting, snacking, and drinking, we shuffled through the buffet
line and into the dining room, where seats were scarce. Once the hungry
lot devoured the main course, the raffles began. One lucky guest walked
away with a Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game, Jenny W. won a hefty gift
certificate to Mezze, and Barak and David M. each won rooms at the ski
lodge for the night. Lycos, Inc. CEO Bob Davis was also in attendance,
and very generously gave the Williamstown employees a new ping-pong table!
Now for the bake-off. There were some seriously delicious treats to
tempt the tongue at our soiree. The big winner was Heather S., who offered
a scrumptious chocolate cake with whipped-cream frosting and toffee
pieces sprinkled on top. To sum it up in one word — YUM! Once all of
the prizes were distributed, we got our company gifts — a comfy fleece
scarf. Just in time for the freezing-cold weather we've had for the past
two days!
