Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Tripod CGI*
* But Were Afraid to Ask

HTML lets you do a lot of cool things with your site. You can display basic pages, add images, play music, and link to other sites. But at some point, you'll probably want your page to be able to do more. Perhaps you'd like your site to be more interactive; you can gather information from your viewers, open a guestbook, write a game, or set cookies. Interested? With Tripod's CGI service, you can easily add Perl scripts to your Tripod directory, where they can be executed to do some pretty amazing things. We're here to help you learn how to use CGI on Tripod.

Tripod has also written some useful scripts for use on your page; you'll find them in the Script Library. To use them, simply cut and paste them into your HTML files. You can access the Script Library through the Freeform Editor by going to the "Special Options" menu. If you're itching to use your own CGI scripts, though, read on.
