CREATE AN ONLINE PHOTO ALBUM IN MINUTES!
- To start building your album, go to www.tripod.com and log in. If you are a member but lost your password, go here to retrieve it: http://www.tripod.lycos.com/bin/membership/password. Once you're logged in, your username will appear at the top of the page, next to the LOG OUT button. Next, select the Photo Album Builder option from the Build & Edit menu (or click on the Photo Album icon).
- Once you are in the Photo Album Manager, click on the Create a New Album icon. If you have not created any albums before, you will be automatically directed to the screen in step 3.
- Enter a title, URL and welcome text for your album. Then click Save and Create. For now, don't worry about the remote posting features. We'll cover that in a later tutorial.
- Next you will choose a template for your photo album. For this project, we will use the 2x5 right template. Don't worry about modifying the template; we'll cover that in a later tutorial. Click Continue.
- Here you will upload the photos that you want included in your album. Click the Browse button and find the pictures on your computer's hard drive, select the first photo and click "Open." A thumbnail of the image will appear beside the slot number, indicating the photo is ready to be uploaded. Repeat this process for up to 8 photos (you can add more later if you want).
- Once you've selected your photos, click Upload. This process may take a few minutes, depending on the file size of your pictures. Once they are all uploaded, you will receive a confirmation screen. If you have more pictures to add, click Add More Photos. If you're all set, click Done.
- After hitting Done you will be returned to the Photo Album Manager screen, where you will see a link to the new album you just made. To view your album, simply click on the link and your album will open in a new window. Easy!
