What is Disk Space and Bandwidth?
Disk space refers to the amount of hard disk space you have available to store web pages, photos, videos and other content on your website. Just how much disk space you have varies according to the membership plan you're subscribed to. At the low end, the Free plan includes 20 MB disk space; and at the high end, the Advanced plan includes 5 GB disk space.
Bandwidth refers to the amount of data that website visitors can download from your website in a month. Just how much bandwidth you have available varies according to the membership plan you're subscribed to. At the low end, the Free plan includes 1 GB bandwidth; and at the high end, the Advanced plan includes 1 TB bandwidth.
How much bandwidth you need is determined by size of your web pages and how much traffic your site receives. As an example, suppose your account's monthly bandwidth is set to 1 GB. Also suppose that the typical web page on your site contains 10 MB of content. Your website visitors would be able to download that page 100 times before you reached your bandwidth limit. (1,000 MB is equal to 1 GB).
See the Plan Comparison Chart to see how much disk space and bandwidth comes with each type of account.
