Zeeblio: Mobile Sites
Optimize your Zeeblio website for mobile devices
True to the Tripod and Zeeblio promise, we're making it as easy as possible to manage your online presence. It now only takes is a single click to optimize your Zeebio website for small screens and mobile browsers.
The Mobile Optimization feature doesn't just shrink your website; it reformats your entire page to appropriately fit the size of your device.
Not only will your site layout adjust to the proper size, but you can also customize your site further by choosing to show or hide certain pieces of content in the mobile version.
What about tablets?
Due to the larger size of some popular tablets, like Apple's iPad, visitors to your website will be presented with the traditional web version.
However, when viewed on smaller tablet screens like the Nook or Kindle Fire, the optimized design will kick in to deliver the mobile version.
How It Works
-
Step 1.
Create your website with a paid Tripod account.
-
Step 2.
Open up the Site Tab in Zeeblio and select Site Settings. Check the Turn On Mobile Layout check box.
-
Step 3.
Use the Cog Options for the various add-ons and media on your page to turn on/off their visibility when viewing on a small screen browser.
-
Step 4.
Preview your site and then click the new Mobile Preview option. If everything looks good, Publish!
More Information
When viewing on your mobile device, mobile layouts may not render correctly if you are not using the latest version of your device's mobile browser and operating system. Mobile layouts also may not be compatible with custom styles that are greatly altered from the original style they are based on.
Mobile layouts will activate when a device or browser's width is 600px or below. For devices with viewports larger than 600px, the large screen website layout will become available. This is why, on certain devices, the mobile layout will be displayed in portrait mode, while the larger version will be displayed in landscape mode.
